General Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • To proactively promote, participate and provide supports in the development and maintenance of the Mill Environment, Health, and Safety Management System (EHSMS) in a manner that will help to eliminate occupational injuries and illness at the mill.

  • To proactively promote, participate and provide supports in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System that comply to the desired requirement and meeting the CSCU expectation through consistent implementations of the established standards.

This will include but not limited to;

  • Comply with K-C and regulatory requirements related to EHS&S

  • Support the identification, reporting, escalation and control of safety and environmental hazard to ensure risks are managed to acceptable levels.

  • Support/lead EHS&S events investigations to ensure root cause evaluations are conducted and effective corrective/preventative actions are implemented.

  • Complete and ensure direct reports complete appropriate EHS&S orientation/training.

  • Ensure adherence of contractors to relevant K-C standards and requirements

  • Support EHS&S culture initiatives and programs

Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:

  • To lead the mill maintenance team to ensure good equipment reliability and operating efficiency at all production operations (Tissue Manufacturing, Tissue Converting & Personal Care) with effective control on maintenance cost. This will be done through effective preventive/predictive maintenance planning/scheduling and spare parts management.

  • To lead in ensuring operating and safety practices of all the pressure vessels (i.e. Yankee Dryer – CYDSC) in the mill are in compliances with internal KC standard requirements and external regulatory requirements.

  • Select, and manage ongoing relationships with external contractors so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of services.

  • Taking lead in implementing best maintenance practices and maintaining planning and scheduling for assets, including preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and services meeting the required asset performance expectations.

  • Manage, oversee and carry out effective maintenance program for all non-production related equipment in the mill including lifting devices, conveying system, goods lift etc.

  • To plan, organize and control all activities of process management in achieving optimum operating efficiency and process reliability without compromise safety.

  • To control the departments activities and costs to ensure good equipment reliability and operating efficiency at Operating Plant.

You’re also a university Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering discipline OR a Diploma holder in any manufacturing study with experience worked in any related field with a minimum of 5 – 10 years working experience. Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering Process / Manufacturing / Operation Management / Production Management related discipline with experience worked in any related field with a minimum of 8 years working experience in maintenance.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with the operations team.

  • Strong leadership qualities (LQs) with excellence interpersonal, analytical and people management.

  • Have strong trouble shooting skills.

  • English fluency in both writing and speaking.

Travel:

  • As required, up to 20%
