MY ELSP & ELSB Marketing & Sales Controller (7 month contract)

Join us as a Marketing and Sales Controller (7-months contract) for the Electrification Smart Power/Smart Buildings Business area where you will be acting as a business partner to Marketing and Sales Manager to plan and ensuring profit, business growth and supporting on market demand creation. Providing the transparent information on the full scope of Marketing, Sales, Pricing and Logistics to Marketing and Sales Manager and team. Managing the cost structure of the Sales Force, contributing to identify, implement and follow-up sales efficiency initiatives. This position reports to the Regional Marketing & Salas Controller, APAC and based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

• Supporting the implementation of the Global Division and BU strategies and ensures profitable growth in local markets, with focus on sales, price management cost control and productivity efficiency programs for the front-end organization
• Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility. Evaluating financial implications of various strategic decisions, building scenarios, and recommending actions
• Ensuring development of performance in line with global targets, monitoring the achievements and defining improvement actions as needed. Focusing on- Demand Orders, Demand Revenues, Operational Sales Expense, Overdues, NPV /E2E Margin, OpEBITDA Cash Flow, Balance Sheet (Provisions, Accruals, Inventory, Receivables, Payables)
• Cooperating with the GBS/COE, ensuring high quality of financial data reporting in line with Group Accounting, Reporting Guidelines, accounting principles and financial closing schedules
• Ensuring and supporting accuracy and effectiveness of commercial processes including, Market price positioning, customer segmentation, sales price management (NPV), Margin maximization, Credit policy and collection management
• Driving cross functional collaboration and process improvement with shared service centers, GBS, COE. Ensure quality and accuracy of information reported in the various group tools (eg: ATLAS, rBook, Abacus)
• Ensuring risk management processes (e.g.: risk reviews, SOX, internal process) are consistently implemented. Communicating early warnings and escalating potential risks when identified
• Supporting and ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement. Personally, lives the ABB values and Group standards. Ensuring ABB integrity standards are adopted within the local organization and full compliance is observed
• Ensuring that the area of responsibility of the Local Marketing and Sales controlling in the Country is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
• Implements lean finance model and concepts. Managing the controlling resources and talents by identifying and following-up clear and motivating career paths

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Marketing and Sales controllership experience in a global matrix multinational environment in a dynamic team as a key stakeholder and decision maker for the team
• Experience with SAP ERP system with exposure to full process of order offer to revenue and cash collection
• Familiarity with internal controls and group integrity operations guidelines
• Exposure to global organization, dealing with many stakeholders in different departments and countries with intercultural sensitivity and effectiveness
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Strong partnering, project management, consultation
